Who is responsible
Robert Bielecki, a private individual in Poland, is the controller of your personal data in Pitstop.
Contact: hello@mypitstop.app
The short version
- Pitstop works without an account. Without one, your data stays on your phone and none of it is sent to us.
- If you create an account, we store your email address and the data you sync, so your devices stay in step.
- No advertising, no tracking, no analytics, no data sold to anyone.
- You can export or delete your data at any time, inside the app.
What data, and why
On your phone only (no account)
Vehicles, fuel and charging entries, service logs, reminders, photos and receipts, and your settings. This stays on your device. We never see it. Notifications for reminders are created on your phone.
If you create an account
- Email address (or the identifier Apple or Google gives us when you use Sign in with Apple or Google, which can be a private relay address): to sign you in and tell accounts apart. Basis: providing the service you asked for.
- The data you sync: your vehicles, entries, reminders, photos and receipts, so that they appear on your other devices. Basis: providing the service you asked for.
- Technical data needed to run sign-in and sync: a session token on your device, a random id of the device, and the times of your last changes.
We use this data only to run Pitstop. We do not use it for advertising or profiling, and we do not read your entries.
Where it is stored and who processes it
- Supabase hosts the account and the synced data (database and file storage) in a data centre in the European Union. Supabase acts as our processor.
- Email delivery: the sign-in codes are sent from a mail server of our hosting provider.
- Apple and Google, only if you choose to sign in with them; they handle that sign-in under their own privacy policies.
- App stores: Apple (App Store, TestFlight) and Google provide the apps. They receive the information their own terms describe.
Some of these providers are companies outside the EU. Where data is transferred outside the EU, it relies on the safeguards those providers offer, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Your account data is kept until you delete your account. Deleting it removes your account, your synced data and your stored files. Entries you delete in the app are removed from the server after a short delay for sync between devices. Server backups, if any, are replaced on a rolling basis.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how it is used, and to move it elsewhere. Most of this you can do yourself in the app: Export my data and Erase all data under Settings, and Delete account under Settings, Account. You can also write to hello@mypitstop.app.
You have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), uodo.gov.pl.
Children
Pitstop is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, for larger changes, tell you in the app.
